Tarek is a highly regarded global technology, media and financial services CEO and CFO, best known for his strategic business transformation leadership roles in technology and telco giants across four continents. Most recently, as global CFO and Head of Strategy for Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company, Tarek drove HPE’s highly successful transformation, including several strategic acquisitions. His time with Sprint Corporation saw him deliver US$6bn in operational expense reductions over nine quarters and raise $15bn of capital in 16 months, setting the foundation for the company’s strategic future.

Prior to this, Tarek held CEO and regional leadership roles in Asia and Australia. He led Telstra’s International Division and was CEO of Telstra’s Hong Kong-based subsidiary CSL Limited - a US$1bn revenue telco.  In the financial services industry, he served as the CEO of the high growth diversified Australian financial services company Flexigroup ($1.2bn USD Mkt Cap.) He is an experienced board member and financial expert on the audit committee.

Tarek is a fascinating and experienced speaker, highly regarded by Wall St investment bankers. He is a true international, fluent in six languages, with an MBA from the London Business School (1998), a Master of Science in Business Administration from Institut d’Administration des Enterprises, and Master of Science in Nuclear Physics and Electronics from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs, France.
